Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis launches on Switch 2 Feb. 12

Amazon Game Studios will release Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis on Switch 2 on Feb. 12, 2026, the same day it arrives on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.

Amazon Game Studios confirmed Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on Feb. 12, 2026, the same day the game launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles and PC. The studio set a firm date after first revealing the project at The Game Awards in 2025.

The title is a reimagining of the 1996 Tomb Raider. The studio described the project as updated with modern visuals, refreshed gameplay systems and an expanded story that connects this early chapter of Lara Croft’s career to later entries in the franchise.

Studio materials say players will travel through jungles in Peru, crumbling ruins in Greece, deserts in Egypt and a mysterious island shaped by local myths. Core gameplay focuses on platforming and exploration; Lara will use a grappling hook alongside climbing and acrobatic movement to cross hazardous terrain. Environmental puzzles require manipulating ancient mechanisms to open new paths.

Combat includes Lara’s dual pistols and unlockable weapons. Opponents range from hostile mercenaries and aggressive wildlife to creatures drawn from mythological sources, according to the briefing.

Amazon wrote the Switch 2 version will deliver “the same cinematic scale and fluid gameplay” found on other platforms and that the game is “fully optimised” for the hybrid console. The studio confirmed the Switch 2 release will be simultaneous with the PS5, Xbox Series and PC launches.

Amazon has not published detailed PC system requirements or technical specifications for each console build. The studio has not announced post-launch content plans or whether the game will include any multiplayer features.
