Tomodachi Life clones on Google Play top 150,000 downloads

Two unofficial Android apps on Google Play — Tomodachi Life Living Dream and Tomodochi: Live the Dream Life — use artwork and descriptive text from Nintendo’s Tomodachi Life and have a combined download total above 150,000, according to Google Play listings.

Both listings display banner art and in-game screenshots that closely match images from the Switch eShop. One app’s description copies language used in Nintendo news posts about the game.

A search for “Tomodachi Life” on Google Play returns both titles. One of the apps is listed under a developer named ZStronics, whose Google Play catalogue includes other listings such as Batman Legacy of the Dark and Subnautica 2 Mobile that use cover art suggesting an official affiliation.

Both clone apps are rated PEGI 12 for Horror and In-game purchases on Google Play. The official Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream on Nintendo Switch carries a PEGI 3 rating and does not include horror content or in-app purchases.

Combined download figures for the two unauthorized apps exceed 150,000, based on totals visible on their Google Play pages. The listings are accessible through search on the Android storefront.

Nintendo’s Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a Nintendo Switch title; there is no official Android or Google Play version. The Switch release registered strong sales in its first month.
