Toro 2 announced with Sept. 9, 2026 release and trailer
Developer RecoTechnology set Toro 2 for Sept. 9, 2026 and released an official trailer. The game will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
RecoTechnology announced Toro 2 with an official trailer and a Sept. 9, 2026 release date. The developer confirmed the game will arrive on PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
The trailer opens on a packed arena as a bull charges a bullfighter. On-screen text in the video reads “Become a bullfighting star” and “Be a bullfighter, be a bull.” The footage highlights locations where players will compete, including Pamplona, Madrid, Nîmes, Seville and venues in Mexico.
Toro 2 is presented as an arcade-style, third-person 3D bullfighting simulator. The announcement describes a Career mode in which players progress from novice to veteran bullfighter and a new multiplayer Versus mode.
Versus mode allows players to choose to play as either a bullfighter or a bull and compete head-to-head with others. The trailer includes brief gameplay clips that show one-on-one competitive action.
The original Toro was released in 2015 and held a 73% positive rating on Steam. The earlier title drew criticism from observers who said its simulation of traditional bullfighting risked glorifying harm to animals for entertainment.
The developer’s release materials and the trailer focus on gameplay, arenas and multiplayer features. The announcement did not include new commentary addressing the earlier criticism.
Toro 2 is scheduled to be available on Sept. 9, 2026 across current and previous console generations, PC and Nintendo Switch.
