Toshinden Collection coming to PS5, Switch 2 and PC in 2027

Edia will release the Toshinden Collection — Battle Arena Toshinden 1–3 with modern updates and same-screen multiplayer — on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam in 2027.

Edia announced the Toshinden Collection will bring Battle Arena Toshinden, Battle Arena Toshinden 2 and Battle Arena Toshinden 3 to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam in 2027. The publisher confirmed same-screen multiplayer and noted the titles will receive updates for modern platforms.

Edia did not provide a specific date within the 2027 window and has not announced pricing, preorder details, screenshots or trailers. The company has not disclosed technical targets such as resolution, frame-rate options, online modes, rollback netcode or how control schemes will be adapted.

The collection includes only the original trilogy. Toshinden Subaru, commonly called Toshinden 4, and other franchise spin-offs are not part of this release.

Battle Arena Toshinden debuted on PlayStation in 1995; sequels arrived in 1996 and 1997. The series was among the early 3D fighting games on the PlayStation and helped introduce 3D arenas to the genre.

Edia’s product description invites players to “relive fond memories together with loved ones,” highlighting a focus on local multiplayer. The publisher has provided no further technical or edition details; additional information is expected closer to the 2027 release window.
