Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure Coming to PS5 in 2026

NIS America announced PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 ports of The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure for 2026, with 4K, up to 120 FPS and HD textures.

NIS America announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure will be released for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The ports will support 4K resolution, run at up to 120 frames per second on compatible hardware, include an HD texture overhaul and offer a toggle to switch between the original and upscaled textures.

The publisher did not provide exact release dates or pricing. Both games will be offered together as a physical collection at launch.

Performance options include native 4K and a frame-rate choice up to 120 FPS. Visual changes center on high-definition textures; players will be able to revert to original textures if they prefer. NIS America described the updates as performance and visual enhancements and did not list gameplay changes.

Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure first launched on the PlayStation Portable in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Both received console ports in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Nihon Falcom develops The Legend of Heroes franchise, which began within the Dragon Slayer series in the 1980s. The franchise contains 17 released titles. The most recent entry, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, was released in 2025. Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure are entries in the Trails subseries and tie into the series’ wider narrative.

NIS America said no further marketing details, such as regional availability windows or pre-order information, are available at this time. Additional specifics are expected closer to the 2026 release window.
