Ubisoft teases final Assassin’s Creed Shadows update for June 16

Ubisoft posted a teaser for Update 1.1.11 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows on the game’s official social channels, announcing the patch will arrive on June 16.

The teaser listed only the update number and release date; Ubisoft did not provide patch notes, a list of fixes or new content, or the platforms that will receive the update.

Ubisoft had previously indicated support for Shadows had largely wound down about a year after the game’s release. The June 16 announcement described Update 1.1.11 as “one last update.”

Some players have described Shadows’ post-launch support as modest compared with earlier entries in the franchise. Players point to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as an example of a title that received numerous substantial patches over a longer period; Valhalla also saw higher sales during the pandemic and development took place under different internal conditions at Ubisoft.
