Ubisoft brings Rayman to PS5 with Legends Retold

Ubisoft will release Rayman Legends Retold on PS5 alongside Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, offering a new story, fully voiced cinematics, 4K/60fps and local four-player co-op.

Ubisoft announced during Sony’s State of Play that Rayman is returning to PlayStation 5 with Rayman Legends Retold, a remake of the 2013 platformer, and Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, a remaster of the 2011 title. Both releases include a new story, fully voiced cinematics, upgraded visuals, 4K at 60 frames per second and local couch co-op for up to four players.

Rayman Legends Retold reimagines the 2013 game with enhanced 3D visuals and a new narrative. The plot follows Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus and Murphy as they try to restore peace to the Glade of Dreams after a shadowy villain appears. The remake supports single-player and local multiplayer for up to four players and includes fully voiced cut scenes.

Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition is included with every version and updates the 2D platformer for current hardware. The remaster adds 4K resolution support, targets 60 frames per second, introduces new collectibles and rewards, and includes quality-of-life improvements and haptic feedback on compatible controllers.

Ubisoft set the standard edition price at $39.99. Players who pre-order any edition receive the Hoodlum Havoc Pack, which adds two costumes for Rayman and Globox inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. Editions announced include a digital Deluxe Edition with the Retro Pack and an art gallery, a retail Launch Edition that includes a printed Glade of Dreams map, three lithographs and a slipcase, and a Deluxe Upgrade Pack for digital buyers that adds the Retro Pack and art gallery.

Loïc Gounon, Brand Producer, described Rayman Legends Retold as “our way of revisiting what makes Rayman so special, and re‑telling that experience for a new generation of players.” Gounon added the team aimed to preserve fan-favorite elements while expanding Rayman’s lore and how the game’s systems connect.
