UK charts: FF7 Rebirth drops to No.30; EA SPORTS FC 26 back at No.1

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth fell from No.2 to No.30 in the UK physical charts, with 98% of its sales on Switch 2. EA SPORTS FC 26 returned to No.1 as World Cup 2026 began.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth fell from number two to number 30 in the latest UK physical charts compiled by GfK. The game’s physical sales were 98% on Switch 2 and 2% on PlayStation 5. EA SPORTS FC 26 reclaimed the top position the same week the World Cup 2026 kicked off. The GfK top 40 contained no new entries this week.

Rebirth debuted strongly in its first week. In the latest chart most of its physical purchases had already occurred, and the sales split shows the vast majority were on Switch 2.

EA SPORTS FC 26 returned to number one with a platform sales breakdown of 37% on PS5, 23% on PS4, 21% on Switch and 10% on Switch 2. The game rose to the top during the tournament’s opening fixtures.

Other established releases remained in the upper ranks. Resident Evil Requiem, multiple Pokémon titles and longstanding Nintendo franchises appeared in the top 40. Specific platform splits included Pokémon Legends: Z-A at 59% on Switch 2 and 41% on Switch; Animal Crossing: New Horizons at 65% on Switch and 35% on Switch 2; Super Mario Bros. Wonder at 53% on Switch and 47% on Switch 2; and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at 65% on Switch 2 and 35% on Switch.

Two Mortal Kombat titles that were in the top 10 last week do not appear in this week’s top 40. Those games had been heavily discounted in recent weeks and later saw price increases.

Titles outside the top tier but still registering physical sales include Forza Horizon 6 at number 31, Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition at number 38, and Pragmata at number 34; Pragmata’s platform split in the latest data was 66% on PS5, 23% on Switch 2 and 11% on Xbox.

The GfK dataset covers physical retail sales in the UK and is used to track weekly changes in the market. The latest chart shows notable Switch 2 shares for both recent and legacy Nintendo releases.
