Until Dawn 2 reveals eight playable characters

Firesprite has introduced the eight members of Dead True, a ghost-hunting team featured in Until Dawn 2. The narrative horror game follows the group during an investigation on Akishima Island and is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 on Jan. 28, 2027.

The game will use player choices to shape the story, including which characters survive. The Dead True team consists of Owen Baines, Mina Aurellio, Nate Howard, Josie Nash, Cameron Darby, Izzy Jacobsen, Luke Kelly and Reagan Wallace.

Owen is the team’s most recognizable member, but his fame has created distance between him and the rest of the group. His co-host, Mina, is seeking a career of her own and hopes to communicate directly with spirits.

Nate is Dead True’s director and has helped keep the team together. His breakup with Reagan has created tension within the group. Reagan left film school to join Dead True, making their past relationship part of the team’s history.

Josie works as the team’s scout and identifies locations for investigations. Her research into Akishima Island could help the group during its visit. Her boyfriend, Luke, travels with Dead True despite having no official role on the show.

Luke is Cameron’s best friend. Cameron manages the team’s special effects and is involved with a married producer, which could create further conflict. Izzy, the newest member, joins the group with a strong belief in the supernatural.

The characters’ relationships and personal histories will affect their experiences on Akishima Island. Until Dawn 2 is scheduled to release on PS5 on Jan. 28, 2027.
