Volcano Princess RPG coming to PS5; prologue demo free

Volcano Princess, a role-playing game first released on Xbox in 2023, is coming to PlayStation 5. A free prologue demo is available now on the PlayStation Store for PS5 owners and covers the story through the “Little Bird Day” mission.

The title is developed by Egg Hatcher in partnership with Gamera Games. The developers have not announced a full PS5 release date.

The game takes place in the Volcano Kingdom, a fantasy setting where smithing, magic and alchemy are common. Players assume the role of a father responsible for raising his daughter, managing her schooling, activities and growth while making choices that affect the plot and character development.

Gameplay mixes role-playing and life-simulation elements. Players allocate time and resources to develop the daughter’s skills, select activities, respond to in-game events, and make decisions that guide branching storylines and lead to multiple endings.

The game’s official description states, “In a volcanic kingdom where smithing, magic, and alchemy flourish, you play as a father and guide your daughter as she grows up. Each and every choice you make will influence your daughter’s growth and lead the story to different endings.” The prologue demo lets players sample early choices and character progression before the full PS5 release.

Players can download the free prologue from the PlayStation Store on their PS5 consoles. The developers’ official channels will provide updates on the full release schedule.
