Wandering Sword PS5 Release Delayed to Jan. 21, 2027
Wandering Sword’s PS5 launch has been moved from May 28, 2026 to Jan. 21, 2027 so the publisher can coordinate a simultaneous release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
Clouded Leopard Entertainment announced on its Twitter account that Wandering Sword’s PS5 release has been moved from May 28, 2026 to Jan. 21, 2027 to enable a simultaneous launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The PS5 version was revealed during Sony’s State of Play in November 2025. The game first launched on PC in 2023.
Under the original schedule, the PS5 release would have gone ahead in May 2026 with Nintendo Switch ports planned for later. An Xbox Series X|S version was not part of the initial plan but is now confirmed for the unified launch window.
A translated message posted with the announcement apologizes: “We deeply apologize for the great inconvenience this may cause to customers who have been eagerly awaiting the release. The entire staff is committed to delivering the best possible gaming experience on the release date, so we kindly ask for your patience and understanding in the meantime.”
Clouded Leopard did not provide further details on how the added time will be used. The publisher did not specify whether the delay will go toward technical optimization, platform certification, additional features, or coordinated marketing across platforms.
With the revised date, players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch can expect Wandering Sword on Jan. 21, 2027. The publisher posted the change without prior public notice of a delay.
