Warhammer Skulls 2026: HELLDIVERS, Space Marine 2 update

The Warhammer Skulls Showcase 2026 presented a set of Xbox-relevant announcements from Games Workshop and partner studios, led by a HELLDIVERS 2 crossover and a free update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

Organizers said the HELLDIVERS 2 collaboration will add a new Legendary Warbond to the Galactic War later this year, linking content from the cooperative shooter with Warhammer 40,000.

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive released the Purgation Update for Space Marine 2 and confirmed it is available now at no cost on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The update adds multiple free items and includes the Iron Hands Chapter Pack.

The showcase revealed new single-player and tactical entries. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster was teased as a 2D action platformer starring a Skaven assassin, targeting a 2027 release. Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch will put players in command of a Deathwatch Kill Team in the tactical RPG series.

Owlcat Games previewed a beta gameplay trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, narrated by Saro, a sanctioned psyker in the player’s retinue, ahead of an upcoming beta. Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will receive its third story expansion, The Infinite Museion, on June 11, 2026, sending players into the vault of collector Trazyn the Infinite.

Several smaller releases and updates were announced for consoles. Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II released with its launch trailer, and a Warhammer 40,000 pack for Rust Console Edition is available now.

To mark a new DLC and the Crusade 1.0 update, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is free to try on Xbox and the Windows Store from May 21 to May 24. Warhammer Survivors, a roguelite combining bullet-hell action with Warhammer characters, is scheduled for release across platforms including Xbox Series X|S in 2026. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will add a Skitarii class on June 23.

The presentations covered a range of genres including action shooters, turn-based strategy, role-playing, racing and platforming, with many titles confirmed for Xbox hardware.
