Well Dweller is a hand-drawn Metroidvania set in a dark fairy-tale world. Players control Glimmer, a small bird armed with a matchstick. The character’s objective is to confront a wicked queen and try to rescue siblings who were taken. Gameplay focuses on exploration, combat against large creatures and gaining new abilities that open previously inaccessible areas. Players can collect trinkets scattered through the environment that grant upgrades.

Top Hat Studios first showed Well Dweller during Nintendo’s Indie World showcase on August 7, 2025. The PlayStation release expands the game’s availability across major consoles and PC, while the demo lets PS5 users experience a portion of the game’s mechanics and atmosphere before buying.
