Wolverine and God of War Trailers Top PS5 State of Play Views

Sony’s latest State of Play drew record viewership on the company’s official YouTube channel, with trailers for Marvel’s Wolverine and God of War Laufey each reaching about 3.2 million views. Those public counts make this edition the most-watched State of Play to date based on the tallied figures.

Other trailers measured shortly after the broadcast included Until Dawn 2 at roughly 634,000 views, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis about 624,000, and Rayman Legends Retold around 441,000. Several mid-range premieres registered between about 100,000 and 320,000 views, among them ILL with roughly 320,000, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls at about 286,000, and Silent Hill: Townfall near 273,000. Marathon Season 2 recorded about 37,000 views.

God of War Laufey also posted multiple interview trailers that together added more than 1.5 million additional views across Sony channels.

The counts were tallied from public view totals on Sony’s YouTube channel and compiled shortly after the show. These totals do not include mirrored uploads on other accounts.

Sammy Barker, who compiled the tally, noted there were no clear signs the top trailers were being promoted as paid ad reels and described the night’s results as a ‘really impressive result’ with most trailers resonating.

State of Play is Sony’s livestream for PlayStation announcements and updates. The view totals record audience interest in upcoming PlayStation releases in the weeks following the showcase.
