Wreckreation 2 announced with Fiona Sperry’s studio at helm

When Tides Turn will develop Wreckreation 2 after the Wreckreation intellectual property moved from Three Fields Entertainment to the new studio. The original Wreckreation launched on PlayStation 5 in 2025 as an open-world arcade racer.

When Tides Turn was founded by Fiona Sperry, a co-founder of Criterion Games. The studio’s team includes developers who previously worked at Criterion.

No release date or publisher has been confirmed. An announcement trailer accompanied the reveal but did not include a launch window. The studio did not outline platform scope beyond the PS5 lineage of the franchise.

The studio stated it spent recent months engaging directly with players to guide design choices. In a press release, Sperry wrote: “Over the last six months we’ve been talking directly to players about what they want from a modern arcade driving game. From handling and progression to events and world design, our community has already helped shape key aspects of the experience.”

The first Wreckreation was developed by Three Fields Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic in 2025. That title received mixed reviews from critics and players.

Further specifics on platforms, publishing and gameplay changes have not been released. When Tides Turn said it will share updates with the player community as development continues.
