Wuchang creator to lead sequel at new China studio

505 Games has entered a formal partnership with Xia Siyuan and his new studio Indolphinity to develop a sequel to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. The publisher will provide funding and handle global publishing, and all development work will take place in China.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was developed at Leenzee and released in 2025. Reports in April 2026 indicated the original Leenzee development team had been disbanded. Xia left Leenzee and later formed Indolphinity; his involvement with the IP for a sequel was not widely expected.

The original title received generally positive reviews on release. The PlayStation 5 edition recorded the lowest scores among platforms, averaging 74 out of 100 on review aggregators. On the PlayStation Store the game has a player rating of 3.77 out of 5 based on more than 26,000 votes.

In a statement, Xia wrote that the new team will pay attention to player feedback and remain true to the project’s creative and cultural foundations. “We listen closely to the real voices of players and the community, and we remain firmly devoted to our original creative aspirations and cultural foundations, striving to answer everyone’s long‑standing expectations with more polished quality and a more complete experience,” his statement reads.

505 Games and Indolphinity did not provide a release date, a platform list, a development timeline or staffing details.
