Xbox adds nine classic and indie games to Game Pass base tier
Microsoft quietly added nine games to the Game Pass base tier over the weekend, including Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Perfect Dark Zero and Neon Abyss.
Microsoft added nine titles to the Game Pass base tier over the weekend in a May 2026 update that appeared in subscribers’ libraries without a formal announcement from the company.
The newly available titles are Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Jetpac Refuelled, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power, Stacking, Iron Brigade, Massive Chalice, Neon Abyss (listed for both console and PC) and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood.
Each game is showing as playable for users on the base Game Pass tier, and players have reported being able to download and launch the titles through the standard Game Pass interface. Microsoft had not posted an official notice or given a reason for the unannounced rollout at the time the games began appearing.
Separately, Outbound was added to the Game Pass Ultimate library on the same day, making that title available to users on the higher tier.
The nine additions cover a range of release periods and genres, including older Xbox-era first-person and action entries alongside recent indie releases. Availability can vary by region and platform; users who do not see the games immediately may need to refresh their console or check for library updates.
Game Pass continues to add and rotate titles across subscription tiers. In this instance the new entries appeared in libraries before any formal communication from Microsoft.
