Xbox Lets Players Claim Tell Me Why Free for June

Microsoft’s Xbox is offering Don’t Nod’s Tell Me Why: Chapters 1–3 free to claim on the Xbox Store throughout June 2026. Players who add the package while the offer is active will keep the game permanently in their Xbox accounts.

The listing appears as ‘Tell Me Why: Chapters 1–3’ on the Xbox Store. Claiming the package does not require an Xbox Game Pass subscription. The title is also included with Xbox Game Pass, but the store claim grants ownership separate from the subscription service.

Tell Me Why is a narrative adventure developed by Don’t Nod. The story follows reunited twins as they work to piece together memories of their childhood and confront family history over three episodic chapters.

Xbox has made Tell Me Why free during Pride Month every year since 2021. The 2026 promotion runs through June, and players must claim the package while the month-long offer is active.

To claim the game, open the Xbox Store on console or the web, search for ‘Tell Me Why: Chapters 1–3’ and select the option to add it to your account.

A 2020 review described the game as ‘an imaginative and emotional tale that isn’t afraid to address mature topics’ while noting that its deliberate pacing may not appeal to all players.
