Xbox hosted a public Forza Horizon 6 launch at Caffeine & Machine in Stratford-upon-Avon with game demos, car displays, Japanese food and a DJ. A larger event is set for May 23 in Gaydon.

Xbox hosted a public Forza Horizon 6 launch event at Caffeine & Machine in Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday. The venue offered multiple play stations, from standard TV-and-controller setups to high-spec simulator rigs.

Visitors used the stations to try the game and photographed cars on display, including the game’s cover car. Organizers set up a small Japanese driving test course and displayed several vehicles for attendees to view.

Food vendors served Japanese street food and packaged Japanese candy. A DJ provided live music during much of the afternoon. Event staff continued operations despite wet weather on the day.

Xbox and the British Motor Museum will present Forza Horizon 6: The Experience Launch Event at the museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire, on Saturday, May 23. The Gaydon event will include similar play stations and car displays and will add coding workshops and a drift stunt show.

Tickets for the Gaydon event are on sale at £18 while supplies last. The museum is located in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Fraser Gilbert, a news editor who attended the Stratford event, called the partnership welcome and expressed a wish to see similar events held more often.

Forza Horizon is Microsoft’s open-world racing series for Xbox and PC. The launch events are part of promotional activity tied to the sixth main entry in the franchise, bringing playable demos and real car displays to public venues.
