Xbox Game Pass Adds Vanguard, EA FC 26; Shift at Midnight Delayed
Junkster joins Game Pass June 16, Call of Duty: Vanguard on June 17 and EA Sports FC 26 on June 18. Shift at Midnight is delayed to the second half of July.
Xbox Game Pass will add three games this week: Junkster on June 16, Call of Duty: Vanguard on June 17, and EA Sports FC 26 on June 18. The titles will be available across console, PC and cloud platforms, with Vanguard and EA Sports FC 26 reaching higher-tier subscription plans.
Junkster arrived on June 16 for Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The 3D action platformer follows a construction bot named UM-13 tasked with repairing its ship and recovering human artifacts on a hazardous junkyard planet. The game includes a building mechanic and has received positive user reviews on Steam.
Call of Duty: Vanguard appears on Game Pass on June 17 for console, PC and cloud, accessible to subscribers on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Premium memberships. First released in 2021, Vanguard includes a single-player campaign, a multiplayer suite with more than 20 maps — 16 designed for core multiplayer — and a Zombies mode developed by Treyarch.
EA Sports FC 26 joins the service on June 18 for Series X|S, PC and cloud via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as part of the EA Play catalog. The game features updated gameplay mechanics, Manager Live Challenges that add seasonal storylines, and player Archetypes inspired by real-world players.
Shift at Midnight, an online co-op detective horror for up to three players that was set to launch on June 17, has been delayed to the second half of July. In a Steam update, the developer wrote: “We’re now targeting the second half of July. We’re confident about this window, but we want to be absolutely sure before we commit to a specific date again (for obvious reasons).” The update added: “We promise that there isn’t anything sinister going on, the external teams just need a bit more time. They are COOKING and giving Shift the final attention it needs and deserves. It is so close, but it needs one final push to make it the absolute best it can be for all players.” The game features randomly generated shifts in which players investigate customers who may be impersonating humans and must board up, set traps and hide when investigations go wrong.
Microsoft’s weekly Game Pass roundup did not list Shift at Midnight. The three arrivals and the delay were confirmed through platform listings and the developer’s Steam notice. The week’s additions include two franchise releases and one indie platformer across different subscription tiers.
