Xbox Game Pass reveals release dates at Summer Game Fest 2026

Xbox Game Pass announced release dates and content updates for five games during the Summer Game Fest and Day of the Devs showcases in 2026. The slate includes one major studio title and several indie updates and launches scheduled through 2027.

SEGA and RGG Studio confirmed that Stranger Than Heaven will arrive worldwide on Jan. 15, 2027. The developers revealed new cast members for the action-adventure game, including the late rapper and actor Tupac Shakur and actors Takashi Ukaji, Yasukaze Motomiya, Takaya Kuroda and Kohei Tsuji. The cast reveal was shown during the live presentation ahead of the game’s Game Pass launch window.

Obsidian announced a named update for Grounded 2, titled Into the Abyss, with a release date of Aug. 11, 2026 for all platforms. The studio released a trailer for the update and said the game will arrive on PlayStation 5 in the months after the announcement, adding to its availability on Xbox and PC.

Palworld will reach version 1.0 on July 10, 2026, with a cinematic trailer released during the shows. Developers described the date as the game’s first full release, moving it out of earlier access and into its 1.0 build on Xbox Game Pass.

33 Immortals is scheduled to reach v1.0 on June 10, 2026. The studio set the Steam launch for that date and said the title will reach version 1.0 on the Epic Games Store and the Xbox storefront.

Screenbound received a Sept. 10, 2026 release date. The platformer blends 2D and 3D level design and centers on a device called the Qboy that lets players shift between two linked realities. Developers described the game as an experimental platforming experience arriving on Game Pass later in 2026.

All five titles were confirmed for Xbox Game Pass during the two showcases. The presentations combined publisher trailers and developer updates and set a release timetable for Game Pass subscribers across summer 2026 and into early 2027.
