Xbox Games Showcase 2026: 25th anniversary and Gears deep dive

The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 is streaming live as part of Xbox’s 25th anniversary events. The broadcast began at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. BST and is scheduled to run about two hours.

The presentation features updates and new material from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, Activision Blizzard and other partners. Organizers say the show will include world premieres, new gameplay footage and progress reports on previously announced projects from first-party teams and major publishers.

Microsoft has arranged a mix of short announcements and longer developer segments. The program is designed to present a range of titles rather than concentrate on a single reveal.

The event will end with a Gears of War: E-Day Direct from The Coalition. That extended segment is set to focus on the studio’s upcoming Gears title, showing gameplay, core systems and the studio’s release plans.

Xbox promoted the showcase ahead of the stream with a statement noting the anniversary and the slate of premieres: “This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share.”

Viewers can watch the stream online. The scheduled two-hour runtime is intended to allow several short reveals and deeper looks from development teams, finishing with the dedicated E-Day presentation for Gears of War.
