Xbox Games Showcase 2026: Release Dates and X25 Limited Edition

Microsoft presented the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 as a digital event that revealed release dates, trailers and limited-edition hardware. The company said numerous first- and third-party titles shown at the event will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch or as future updates.

Halo: Campaign Evolved was announced as a modernized remake of Halo: Combat Evolved. Microsoft said the campaign has high-definition visuals, updated cinematics, refined controls and a new three-mission episode featuring Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson. The remake adds expanded weapon and enemy options and optional gameplay modifiers called “Skulls.” The release date is July 28, 2026.

Minecraft Dungeons II received a September 29, 2026 release date and was described as a tougher follow-up to the original dungeon crawler. Fable was given a February 23, 2027 release date and is presented as an open-world action role-playing game in which player choices affect reputation and outcomes.

Microsoft also revealed two limited-edition items marking 25 years of Xbox. The Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition is due in October 2026 and features a transparent back case and battery door, original-color ABXY buttons and a green Xbox button. The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console is expected in November 2026 and is billed as a modern reimagining of an early Xbox hardware design for current-generation components.

Other dated releases announced at the showcase include DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations (July 7, 2026), Sea of Thieves’ Custom Seas update (June 18, 2026) and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (August 27, 2026). Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is scheduled for October 15, 2026, and a first look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ component carried an October 23, 2026 trailer. Age of Empires IV will add the Raiders of the North expansion in fall 2026, introducing Viking and Scottish civilizations and new battle systems.

Several projects were given 2027 release windows. Persona 4 Revival is set for February 18, 2027. Metro 2039 was shown with an early 2027 window, and Spyro: A Realm Beyond is slated for spring 2027. State of Decay 3 was scheduled for a full gameplay showcase in 2027 and remains in development as an online co-op survival title. Microsoft also highlighted a slate of indie and mid-size games with 2027 or unspecified windows, including Bad Magpie, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, Join Us, Vivarium, Magicians: The Devil’s Deal, Valor Mortis and Senua.

Fallout 76’s Infestations update is available now. Microsoft provided release dates and windows covering late 2026 into 2027 during the showcase.
