Xbox to Attend Gamescom 2026, Will Demo Gears: E-Day

Xbox confirmed it will attend Gamescom 2026 in Cologne from August 26 to 30 and will operate a booth with playable titles. The company specifically named the single-player campaign for Gears of War: E-Day as one playable offering.

Xbox FanFest will return alongside the Cologne dates as part of the company’s 2026 tour. FanFest events provide ticketed access to developer sessions, gameplay previews and community activities.

Gamescom’s Opening Night Live multi-platform show is scheduled for August 25, the day before Xbox’s booth opens. Instead of one large on-site presentation, Xbox typically releases updates through daily livestreams during Gamescom and appears to plan a similar schedule for 2026. The company has not published a full presentation timetable.

Attendees at the Xbox booth can expect hands-on demos; beyond the Gears: E-Day single-player campaign, other playable titles and demo times have not been confirmed. Xbox has not released a complete list of games it will bring to Cologne.

Xbox held a platform showcase in June that included new announcements. Gamescom is a major industry event where companies bring demos and announcements to a European audience, and exhibitors often update schedules and demo rosters in the weeks before the show.

Organizers and exhibitors may add or change presentations and demos before Gamescom begins. Xbox has not provided further details on additional reveals, livestream times or the full FanFest schedule for the August dates, so fans and attendees will need to watch for further announcements from the company.
