Xbox posts full GDC Project Helix talk, teases 2026 updates

Xbox posted the full Project Helix GDC presentation to its Game Dev Update and confirmed more console details will arrive in 2026.

Xbox uploaded the full Project Helix presentation from the March Game Developers Conference to its Game Dev Update stream and reiterated that additional console information will arrive in 2026. The Game Dev Update video runs about 90 minutes; the Project Helix segment begins at the 2:15 mark. The company framed the video as a resource for developers and audience members tracking its next-generation plans. The Helix portion of the update is the same technical presentation delivered at GDC. Xbox did not add new technical material in the reposted session. The original talk included architecture and platform details intended for developers working with Xbox hardware and software. Jason Ronald, who led the presentation, emphasized the role of console hardware for the company, stating: “The console is absolutely core to Xbox, it is the heart of who we are, it will always be around, and it is critically important to our future.” After the stream, Ronald wrote on social media that viewers should not expect fresh Project Helix announcements immediately and that more information will appear in 2026, without naming a date or event. Xbox provided no further public timeline or venue for the next Helix disclosures. For now, the posted GDC presentation is the latest on-record source of technical and strategic details about Project Helix and Xbox’s console roadmap.
