ID@Xbox added six indie games to the May Indie Selects hub on the Xbox Store and at Xbox.com/IndieSelects. The hub is curated by the ID@Xbox team and is updated every Wednesday with a new collection and four rotating themed spotlights.
The selections include Mouse: P.I. for Hire, Dosa Divas, Content Warning, People of Note, Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator and Icarus: Console Edition. ID@Xbox placed these titles in the May lineup to present a range of genres and creative approaches from independent developers.
Mouse: P.I. for Hire is a first-person shooter developed by Fumi Games. The game uses a black-and-white, rubber-hose cartoon visual style. Combat emphasizes movement, weapon swapping and environmental use, while light exploration reveals hidden paths and clues tied to a broader mystery. Performance on Xbox Series X|S has been reported as smooth.
Dosa Divas is a narrative turn-based RPG that centers cooking in its systems. Players control sisters Samara and Amani inside a customizable spirit mech as they confront a fast-food corporation and work to rebuild community ties through shared meals. Food preparation affects combat outcomes, healing and relationships, linking kitchen choices to both gameplay and story.
Content Warning is a cooperative survival horror game built around influencer culture. Squads have three in-game days to record frightening moments in procedural underground ruins known as the “Old World.” Camera holders decide what gets filmed, including a selfie mode, and views convert to in-game revenue for gear upgrades. The game supports in-game chat and features that encourage cooperative play.
People of Note combines character-driven storytelling with music-linked turn-based combat. Each character has a musical identity that shapes abilities and timing. Combat requires tempo-based timing windows and rhythm-synced actions that interact with tactical choices.
Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator is an arcade-style market simulation in which players trade speculative assets tied to alien babies’ life events. Gameplay tracks randomized life arcs and uses modifiers such as consultants that affect information accuracy. The title features retro visuals and a fast decision pace.
Icarus: Console Edition is a mission-based survival game from the creator of DayZ. Players undertake timed expeditions on a hostile planet with changing weather, predators and resource pressures. The game includes crafting, shelter building, research and open-world exploration. The New Frontiers expansion adds maps and creatures.
All six games appear in the May Indie Selects collection on the Xbox Store and at Xbox.com/IndieSelects, where players can browse the curated picks and the rotating themed spotlights updated weekly.
