Xbox June 1–5: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Gothic 1 Remake

Major releases arrive on Xbox platforms and PC between June 1 and June 5. Square Enix, THQ Nordic and Vertigo Games lead a week that also includes a broad slate of indie and mid‑tier games for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC.

Square Enix will release Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on June 2 for Xbox consoles and PC. The title is the second entry in the remake trilogy and follows Cloud and his allies after they leave Midgar to explore expanded open areas, ride chocobos and visit larger environments. The game is listed at $49.99 for the standard edition and $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition on the Xbox storefront, which shows temporary discounts. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is marked as optimized for Xbox Series X|S and supports Xbox Play Anywhere.

THQ Nordic will release Gothic 1 Remake on June 5. The remake recreates the 2001 Gothic open‑world RPG, returning players to the Valley of the Mines with updated visuals and systems. Gothic 1 Remake is listed at $59.99 and is presented as optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Vertigo Games will release The 7th Guest Remake on June 4. The project updates the original puzzle‑horror game with modern technology and returns players to a haunted mansion populated by guests, puzzles and the toymaker Henry Stauf. The 7th Guest Remake is marked optimized for Xbox Series X|S and supports Xbox Play Anywhere.

Smaller releases span genres and dates across the week. June 1 opens with Bober Constructions, BrokenLore: FOLLOW (noted as optimized for Series X|S and Smart Delivery) and Tale of Dark Lands. June 2 adds Perfect Ninja Painter 4, Scarlet Wolf and To Bee Jazz. June 3 and 4 include Eco Mahjong, Moves: Perfect Pair, Springbot: The Last Spark (listed with Series X|S optimization, Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere) and FORENSIC – M.E. Protocol (optimized for Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere). GOALS, a free‑to‑play football game optimized for Series X|S and playable across PC and console, is scheduled for June 4.

Later releases on June 4–5 include Hollowbody, Village of the Curse, Anubis Dungeon (June 5) and D.U.M.B.E.R. Ducks (June 5), with many titles offering modest price points, free‑to‑play access or trial options. Several games during the week advertise Smart Delivery for cross‑generation ownership, while others list Xbox Play Anywhere for linked console and PC ownership.
