Xbox starts June 12 update to fix Forza Horizon 6 save bugs

Xbox will roll out a system update from June 12 to address save file corruption and missing saves in Forza Horizon 6 on Series X|S; PC fixes went out via Gaming Services.

Xbox will roll out a system update beginning June 12 to address reports of Forza Horizon 6 save file corruption and missing saves on Xbox Series X and S consoles. Windows PC players received fixes through the Gaming Services client.

The Forza support page confirms the targeted rollout date and states that Xbox and Forza teams are working to reduce occurrences of corrupted or missing save files. The page advises players to keep devices updated.

The Forza entry includes a message from the Xbox team: “The XBOX team is actively developing platform updates for XBOX Series X|S and PC to help improve these issues, so please ensure your devices are up to date.” For PC players, the page notes the relevant fixes were pushed via the Gaming Services client.

Players who want to install the console update immediately can check manually. Make sure the console is connected to the internet, press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates. Under Updates the console will show “Console update available” to begin the update, or “No console update available” if the system is current.

Forza Support and Team Xbox opened an investigation after reports surfaced in early June and have posted guidance and status updates on the official support page. Community reports estimated the issue affected up to 5 percent of players; Microsoft has not provided an official incidence rate.

Players who still encounter save issues after updating are advised to contact Forza support for individual assistance.
