Xbox leaders praise Playground and Turn 10 for Forza Horizon 6

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma and Chief Content Officer Matt Booty publicly praised Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios for Forza Horizon 6’s early performance. The comments appeared on social media and LinkedIn as the game moved toward its May 19 full release and Xbox Game Pass launch.

Forza Horizon 6 entered early access before the Standard Edition release and received positive early reviews. Hundreds of thousands of players took part in early access, according to Xbox representatives.

Sharma used social media to congratulate the development team and note the title’s progress ahead of the wider launch.

Booty posted on LinkedIn, acknowledging the work of both studios. He wrote: “Very proud of the teams at Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios and the early success we’re seeing with Forza Horizon 6. The team has shown up for players and for each other across multiple releases, and it’s great to see how they keep refining the experience without losing what makes the series special. That’s hard to maintain as teams grow and development gets more complex, and it’s a credit to the studio and culture they’ve built. Excited for more players to jump in!”

Playground Games led development on Forza Horizon 6, with Turn 10 Studios credited for its role in the franchise’s production. Xbox executives said the May 19 launch and Game Pass inclusion will bring the game to a broader audience.

The public remarks from Sharma and Booty came as the company prepared the title for wider release to subscribers and retail customers.
