Xbox Series X25 translucent OG Green console and controller
Microsoft announced a translucent OG Green Xbox Series X25 limited edition console and matching X25 controller for its 25th anniversary. Controller ships October 2026; console ships November 2026 with 1 TB.
Microsoft announced the Xbox Series X25 limited edition console and the X25 Special Edition wireless controller at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. The releases mark Xbox’s 25th anniversary. The controller will ship in October 2026; the console will ship in November 2026 and includes 1 TB of onboard storage. Pricing and full sales details were not disclosed.
The Series X25 introduces a translucent OG Green exterior that exposes internal components and references the original Xbox color palette. The edition retains the same hardware and performance specifications as the standard Series X while adding a clear case. The top X illuminates green at startup and the front panel carries a 25th Anniversary logo.
The X25 Special Edition wireless controller uses the same translucent OG Green finish and incorporates design elements from early Xbox controllers. The ABXY buttons use their original color scheme, and the bumpers reference the black and white buttons found on the original Duke controller. The rear case and battery door are transparent, revealing a classic Xbox logo beneath.
The console will be sold bundled with the X25 controller; the controller will also be available separately. Microsoft said further availability and pricing information will be announced later.
The limited editions reference visual and hardware elements from the original Xbox launched in 2001 and apply those details to the modern Series X design.
