Xbox Showcase: Halo, Persona 6 to PS5; Gears Xbox-Only

Microsoft’s Xbox Showcase 2026 confirmed Halo will arrive on PS5 next month, Persona 6 is headed to PS5, and Gears of War and Clockwork Revolution will remain Xbox-only.

At the Xbox Showcase 2026 livestream, Microsoft announced Halo will arrive on PlayStation 5 next month and confirmed Persona 6 for PS5. The company also confirmed that Gears of War and Clockwork Revolution will remain exclusive to Xbox consoles.

The event took place as Microsoft implements leadership changes under new CEO Asha Sharma. During the showcase the company presented release months, trailers and gameplay footage for multiple titles and identified which games would appear on Sony’s platform.

Microsoft confirmed that Master Chief’s Halo franchise will make its official PS5 debut next month and provided release details during the presentation.

Atlus revealed Persona 6 for PS5 in a reveal trailer described as darker in tone. The showcase also announced Persona 4 Revival for PS5, which will include content from Persona 4 Golden and is scheduled for February 2027.

Xbox representatives clarified that Gears of War: E-Day and the immersive sim Clockwork Revolution will not be released on PS5. Xbox representatives noted, “These are not timed exclusives,” indicating the franchises will remain limited to Xbox platforms.

Other PlayStation-bound releases confirmed during the livestream include Fable with a PS5 release date and a new gameplay trailer featuring Hayley Atwell; Crazy Taxi: World Tour, planned for 2027 with specific conditions noted at announcement; Spyro: A Realm Beyond, the character’s first original console game in nearly 20 years; a new Hellblade Senua title set for 2027; State of Decay 3 listed for PS5 in 2027; and DOOM: The Dark Ages campaign DLC with PS5 release timing shown.

The showcase mixed cross-platform release announcements with firm exclusivity decisions and provided scheduled release windows and trailers for the titles shown.
