Xbox Showcase: Halo, Persona 6 and PS5 release dates

At the Xbox Showcase 2026 Microsoft announced PS5 release windows for Halo next month, Persona 6 and Persona 4 Revival, and confirmed several Xbox franchises will remain exclusive.

Microsoft used its Xbox Showcase 2026 livestream, overseen by new CEO Asha Sharma, to name specific PlayStation 5 release windows for a range of titles and to clarify which first-party projects will not appear on Sony hardware. The company listed dates and platform availability during the event.

Halo will arrive on PS5 next month, marking the franchise’s first official release on Sony’s console. Persona 6 was announced for PS5 with a darker-toned reveal trailer. Persona 4 Revival was confirmed to include Persona 4 Golden content and was given a February 2027 release window on PS5. The fantasy game Fable received a PS5 release date and new gameplay footage featuring actor Hayley Atwell.

Other titles slated for PS5 were named during the showcase. A new original Spyro game for PS5 was unveiled. A follow-up to Hellblade is scheduled for release on PS5 in 2027. Minecraft Dungeons 2 was assigned a September release window for PS5. Additional content and downloadable expansions for existing franchises, including DOOM and Sea of Thieves, were announced with PS5 availability specified.

Microsoft also set limits on cross-platform availability. Gears of War: E-Day will not be released on PS5. The company confirmed that the Gears of War series and the immersive-sim Clockwork Revolution will not be released on PlayStation hardware at any time. At the same time, Microsoft said State of Decay 3 will return to PS5 in 2027, indicating selective PS5 support among some formerly Xbox-aligned titles.

The presentations combined trailers, gameplay footage and dated release windows to map which upcoming games will appear on PS5 and which will remain on Xbox platforms. Announcements covered both live-service updates and single-player releases, with Microsoft specifying platform availability and timing for multiple entries.
