The message appeared during a growing online discussion about Mixtape, which launched on Xbox Game Pass late last week. Professional reviews gave the title high scores while player reactions were mixed.

On Metacritic the user score is 6.3. Xbox Store reviews average 3.9 out of 5. Steam shows a “Very Positive” rating.

Some players criticized Mixtape’s short length and limited interactive elements. The Steam “Most Helpful Review” described the title as “generic, disappointing, and humorless” and wrote that it feels “more like an interactive movie than an actual \”game\”,” while noting the music choices and visuals were appealing.

The Xbox post did not name Mixtape, but many replies on the thread referenced the game. Former Xbox executive Mike Ybarra also highlighted some of the user criticisms in posts responding to the discussion.

Mixtape’s release on Game Pass increased the game’s availability to subscribers and coincided with the surge in online attention. The post’s view count and the volume of replies show the topic drew wide engagement across the platform.
