Try Yoshi and the Mysterious Book early at select stores

Select Best Buy, Target, Walmart and GameStop stores in North America are offering a free Switch 2 kiosk demo of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book ahead of the game’s launch.

Select Best Buy, Target, Walmart and GameStop stores across North America are offering a free in-store demo of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book on Switch 2 display kiosks. The demos are available now, with the game due to launch in fewer than two weeks.

Demos are free to play at participating locations that have Switch 2 display units. Availability varies by store and by region; some Canadian outlets may host the demo where Switch 2 kiosks are installed.

Nintendo has not released a Switch 2 eShop demo for the title, so visiting a store kiosk is currently the only public option to try the game before release.

A reviewer who played the in-store demo described the levels and hidden content in a hands-on preview: “I went in expecting to fly through levels in a matter of seconds with a genuine, albeit short-lasting, smile on my face. I never thought that those levels would hook me in with their secrets, then bring me back once I had discovered more about the world. After a few entries firmly at one end of the scale, it feels like Yoshi is finally hitting the sweet spot between a game aimed at both kids and long-time fans.”

Nintendo released an overview trailer that highlights the game’s sketchbook art style and platforming mechanics. The retail demo shows design elements centered on exploration and collectible-driven replay.

Shoppers who want to try the demo should contact local Best Buy, Target, Walmart or GameStop to confirm whether a Switch 2 kiosk is set up and carrying the Yoshi demo. Not every outlet will host the demo; availability depends on individual store decisions and on the inventory of display units.
