Yoshi Lands on Nintendo Switch 2; Tales of ARISE, Coffee Talk Arrive

Nintendo of America posted a new Nintendo Download update listing new eShop releases and content for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book launched today on Nintendo Switch 2. Tales of ARISE – Beyond the Dawn Edition is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 22. Coffee Talk Tokyo is available now on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book centers on a talking book named Mr. E. Players open the book to enter illustrated pages, explore different habitats and use Yoshi’s abilities to observe creature behaviors and unlock new paths and interactions. The platformer is sold for the Nintendo Switch 2 system and appears in the eShop listings for that console.

Tales of ARISE – Beyond the Dawn Edition packages the original Tales of ARISE game with an additional scenario titled “Beyond the Dawn,” plus extra costumes and in-game items. The edition is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 22 and is listed in the Switch 2 eShop catalog with that release date.

Coffee Talk Tokyo places players in a small café in Tokyo during a hot summer. Players brew drinks to customer orders and listen to conversations accompanied by lo-fi music. The title returns familiar mechanics from prior Coffee Talk releases and adds new characters and Tokyo-specific details. The game is available now on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The Nintendo Music app received retro Yoshi soundtracks, with music from Yoshi (NES) and Yoshi (Game Boy) added to the service. Included tracks listed in the update are “Title Screen,” “Mushroom BGM” and “Vs. BGM.”

Nintendo added new My Nintendo rewards tied to the Yoshi release. A Super Mario – Yoshi Egg Zipper Pouch is available for redemption with 800 My Nintendo Platinum Points while supplies last. New themed wallpapers are available for download. Nintendo is running a My Nintendo Yoshi & Mario: Best Buds Sweepstakes that accepts entries through Aug. 4 at 12 p.m. PT; prize details include Nintendo Switch 2-branded items and plush merchandise.

The eShop update also lists several other releases and ports across both systems. Titles with May 22 availability include Bubsy 4D and Arcade Archives Mr.Do!. The update lists additional indie and retro ports arriving throughout the week, and the Nintendo storefront shows ongoing sales and deals across its digital catalog.
