Capcom’s Pragmata Tops 2 Million Sales in 16 Days

Capcom’s Pragmata sold more than 2 million copies worldwide within 16 days of its April 17, 2026 launch, after surpassing 1 million in the first 48 hours.

Capcom reported that Pragmata sold more than 2 million copies worldwide within 16 days of its April 17, 2026 launch, including more than 1 million units in the first 48 hours. The company published the figures in a sales update.

A version for the Switch 2 arrived in Japan on April 24, one week after the global release. Capcom did not provide a platform-by-platform or regional breakdown in its announcement.

Critical response has been generally positive. One review rated the game 9 out of 10 and described it as an excellent Switch 2 port. Player discussion about the game’s direction and potential as a franchise has been visible across online communities.

Capcom highlighted Pragmata alongside Resident Evil Requiem, which has surpassed 7 million copies sold this year, and said both titles are key releases for 2026.

Rob Dyer, Capcom’s U.S. CEO, suggested the company sees opportunity to expand the new property, noting the release may mark the start of a longer-term effort and commenting that the company has ‘a new IP that we can continue to go down.’

The sales update confirms the early commercial scale for Pragmata while leaving detailed platform and regional sales data unspecified.
