McDonald’s Japan teases Mega Man collab with 8-bit image

McDonald’s Japan posted an 8-bit pixel image of Mega Man drinking a Coca-Cola bottle on its official social accounts. The post carried Capcom branding and did not include further details.

The pixel art shows the Blue Bomber, known as Rockman in Japan, rendered in a retro 8-bit style while holding and sipping from a Coca-Cola bottle.

Neither McDonald’s Japan nor Capcom has announced dates, menu items or the scope of any promotion. The companies have not specified participating restaurants, item availability or whether any digital or in-game components will be involved.

A recent Capcom partnership with McDonald’s Japan for Street Fighter included limited-time menu items and in-game unlocks for Street Fighter 6.

Mega Man will mark its 40th anniversary in 2027. Capcom has scheduled Mega Man: Dual Override for release on Nintendo Switch, the upcoming Switch 2 and other platforms. The Mega Man Star Force: Legacy Collection was released in March.
