Nintendo adds five 1995 Virtual Boy games to Switch Online

Nintendo has added five Virtual Boy games from 1995 to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The titles are Jack Bros, Space Invaders Virtual Collection, Vertical Force, Virtual Bowling and V-Tetris. They appear in the Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics app available through the Nintendo eShop for subscribers to the Expansion Pack tier.

Subscribers can download the Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics app from the eShop and launch it from the Nintendo Switch Online menu option on the bottom left of the Switch home screen. The app provides the original game software adapted to run on current Switch hardware for accounts with an active Expansion Pack subscription.

Nintendo also released five Virtual Boy-themed Switch Online profile icons for Expansion Pack members. The icons are available for a limited time and can be customized with borders and background images. Those border and background options are purchased with Platinum Points, which players can earn at no cost by completing My Nintendo missions.

The added titles were first released for the Virtual Boy in 1995. They join other legacy games offered through the Switch Online service and are accessible only to members of the Expansion Pack tier via the Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics app.
