Nintendo Prices Star Fox for Switch 2: $50 Digital, $60 Physical

Nintendo has priced Star Fox for the Nintendo Switch 2 at $50 for the digital edition and $60 for the physical edition. The listings appeared on the Nintendo eShop after a surprise Nintendo Direct focused on a Star Fox film.

Titled simply Star Fox, the release is an enhanced remake of the Nintendo 64 game Star Fox 64 and is built specifically for the Switch 2. Nintendo’s presentation noted the game retains the original stage layout while offering refreshed visuals, completely reworked stages and a multiplayer mode.

The digital edition costs $10 less than the physical edition. Both editions are listed ahead of the game’s June 25 launch; digital preorders and physical retail availability will follow Nintendo’s standard distribution channels.

Star Fox 64 originally appeared on the Nintendo 64 and featured characters such as Fox McCloud and Arwing dogfights. Nintendo showed the new release preserves the original stage structure while updating graphics and certain gameplay elements for the Switch 2 hardware.
