Replaced Xbox update fixes progression blockers, Chapter Select

Sad Cat Studios has released an update for Replaced on Xbox Series X|S that fixes certain progression blockers and repairs the game’s Chapter Select feature. The patch is now live for Xbox players.

The developer advised players to ‘choose a chapter and return to the main menu to restore your previously unlocked chapters,’ a step intended to recover access to content affected by the bug.

A patch released a few days earlier added options to turn off the Letterbox visual style, skip dialogue, and track collectibles when switching between chapters in the level selector.

Replaced launched in 2026 and is available on Xbox, PC and through Xbox Game Pass. The game experienced several launch bugs, with some issues reported on Xbox Series S. Sad Cat Studios has been issuing post-launch patches to address platform-specific problems and refine level-selection tools.

The current update focuses on stability and progression on Xbox consoles and is intended to restore access for players who could not advance past the affected points.
