Warhorse targets next Kingdom Come by March 2028

Warhorse Studios told viewers the next Kingdom Come game is targeting release between April 2027 and March 2028. The studio gave the timeframe during a recent livestream but did not provide a specific date.

Community manager Tom Grey addressed the timeline during the stream, telling viewers,

We won’t have to wait that long until the next game,” and adding, “That’s the aim.

The statement follows the February 2025 release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and comes ahead of Warhorse’s next fiscal year.

Warhorse has not detailed the new project’s platforms, story, or development scope. The company expanded its staff to produce Deliverance 2 and continued hiring after that release; it has described Deliverance 2 as its largest game to date.

Warhorse is also developing a Lord of the Rings title, so its development resources are allocated across multiple projects.

Because the studio has not specified the project’s size, it is unclear whether the upcoming release will be a full-scale sequel, a smaller standalone story, or an expansion that reuses Deliverance 2’s technology.
