Capcom insider: Devil May Cry 1 remake, multiple RE remakes

An insider reports Capcom is developing a Devil May Cry 1 remake and that remakes of Resident Evil Zero, Code: Veronica, Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 10 were green-lit after a June–July 2022 meeting.
An insider familiar with Capcom’s internal planning reports the company is developing a Devil May Cry 1 remake and approved multiple Resident Evil remakes during a June–July 2022 meeting.
The source identified the green-lit projects as remakes of Resident Evil Zero, Code: Veronica, Resident Evil 1 and a project tied to Resident Evil 10. The leak assigns codenames to several projects: Project Chambers for Zero, Project Fallen for RE1 and Project Redlife for RE10.
According to the notes, work on the Resident Evil 1 remake was in pre-production through 2022–2023 and has recently moved into full production. The source also confirmed active development on a Devil May Cry 1 remake at Capcom.
The material describes Project Redlife as focusing on Claire Redfield. Resident Evil Zero and the RE10 project are reported to be built on a technology the leak calls the REX Engine. The notes do not explain how REX differs from Capcom’s RE Engine or which internal teams are leading the work.
The insider links the mid‑2022 meeting to intellectual property enforcement actions taken by Capcom that year, noting the company issued takedowns for several fan remakes of Zero, Code: Veronica and Resident Evil 1 in 2022. Previously this month, Capcom launched Leon Must Die Forever time-attack mode on PS5.
The notes also cover ongoing support for Resident Evil 9, reporting that Ada Wong appears in current downloadable content and indicating more than one story-focused expansion is planned.
The leak provides codenames and production status but no release dates, development windows, platform information, play footage or screenshots. Capcom has not publicly confirmed the projects named in the notes.
